DD boss Maxwell selects 12 Japanese issued soundtrack 45's for this dynamite dozen. All original 70's pressings with some tracks only featuring on these rare Japanese 45's outside of the original LP release.

This Spotlight feature brings something a little different for the Diggers Dozen Live Sessions. UK's Far Out Recordings have put together this excellent dozen selection of 70's & 80's Brazilian tracks, which have been taken from releases on their cataloge that have previously never been issued and released for the first time on vinyl by Far Out! Back in 2017 L.A. based King of Gospel records Greg Belson blessed Diggers Dozen with this sublime live session of 12 jaw droppin', off the radar Deep Soul & Gospel 45's. Sydney's go to DJ and record supremo Boogie Monster recorded this beautiful third Diggers Dozen session last year over lockdown. He delved deep into the 45's selecting 12 rare heavy weight Low Rider Soul gems bringing this killer track after killer track mix, making it this months spotlight session. A recent addition to the Diggers Dozen Live Sessions comes from Amsterdam's Waxwell Records! Co-owner of Waxwell - Taco Fett, selects an all Dutch Dozen for this super nice DD mix. Expect psych, smoked out jazz, Suriname funk and soundtrack Dutch only gems. Possibly one of the deepest soul selections played at Diggers Dozen. The man behind Symphonical Records & Fantasy Love Records - James Pogson picked a dozen deep and rare soul gems for this insanely good DD live session recorded back in July 2017. As well as releasing modern soul & disco on Fantasy Love and reissuing soul & funk 45s on Symphonical Records he also runs Barcelona's summer monthly club night Reel To Reel focusing on funk, disco, boogie, soul. A recent killer addition to the Diggers Dozen Live Sessions comes from East London's Yo-Yo Records! Derek the owner selects 12 heavyweight Funk, Latin, Brazilian, Afro gems for this marvellous mix, which showcases the calibre of vinyl you can expect to find at the shop. If not already familiar with Yo-Yo Records, the shop offers some incredible vinyl, dealing in vintage US originals of Funk, Soul, Jazz, Brazilian, Psych and more. They're situated on Hackney Road, East London. Go check them out!

Coco Maria digger & selector of all great records in the realms of latin & tropical music, joined us earlier this year in January behind the turntables at Diggers Dozen - Ace Hotel, London. Back in the summer of 2020 Italian label Dig This Way Records put together this marvelous Diggers Dozen session of super funky Afro rarities and impossible finds. Dig This Way focus on releasing lost and forgotten African pieces. Check their bandcamp for the full catalogue!

UK's turntable wizard and record king, Mr Thing! joined us at Diggers Dozen back in July 2016 with this very killer dozen put together with that unmistakable Mr Thing flnesse. Recorded live at Ace Hotel, London.
